  1. upload_2022-1-11_19-5-45.png @Lloyd's paint & glass , let me just say that your wife is a very talented woman. I wish her nothing but the best for her and her future. I have a feeling that she’s going to umm, keep you in stitches. upload_2022-1-11_19-5-45.png

Looks like she is learning and applying what she learns.
Had a old friend that had one of those 69 pace car Camaros with the orange and black hounds tooth.

A hug from Lloyd? That sounds like more of a punishment than anything else:eek:;)

Some of the things in this thread are keeping me in Stitches, Ashley is doing some great work! Maybe the prices for the boat quotes were Too cheap, you know how Some people are!!

  10. Somebody else can do the boats lol... I want her to focus on hot rods :D

  11. Boaters are notoriously cheap, I should know I have two.

Good looking work, you will do just fine without them.

  12. Having seen all the photos of your wife’s work @Lloyd's paint & glass I might consider having her redo the seat in my avatar.

Ashley’s work looks great so far.
I see she is using the top stitch visible stitch method for her pleats so far.

They look good but some people don’t like them and want the more traditional looking hidden pleats style of upholstery.

I have to admit I’m one of them.

Has she tried the method yet?
Here’s a good video on it.

  15. Yeah she's played with it, just takes more time lol. And time is money, and everybody thinks you should do this shit for free already

Then the ones who think it should be done for free should probably just be ignored.
    Tell them to go elsewhere.
If they want good work then they should be willing to pay for it.

She should be smiling:D. That's no little door panel or bucket seat...those are BIG pieces to sew up, and then get to fit so nicely. She nailed it;).

  24. Details, details. Besides, what kind of a hot rodder would I be if I didn’t support an up and coming upholstery shop like Ms.Ashley’s, hmm?

Lloyd , I finally have located enough parts to install the bench seat back into my 32 , 3W . I’ll be contacting you when the weather breaks and swingin by to drop off my seat .

Your wife is doing , beautiful work . My complete car was finished in “home builder “ ( me) style . She is completing my style work . Again great work ! I’ll contact and make plans to swing by to do business . Be safe , my friend

I can only say WOW! I really appreciate how far she’s come in this skill and I’m seriously considering having her do some work for me. My wife can sew anything (except hemming my pants!) cards, spins, and weaves, or knits, with wool and I’m sure she could get into upholstery as well if she wanted to.

However, I’m unsure of praising your wife too much as I don’t want her prices to rise too high! LOL
