and yea..killer ride
Lance, looks great.....
Well it's been about a year since my last update on the 'A BONE and I'm happy to report that a month ago I got the truck reassembled for the final time.
As it turned out, I was not happy with my welding on the intake and header, plus I was having issues with porosity in the metal, I had fuel puddling issues ... generally I liked the concept but not the execution. So my buddy Ellis Simmons in Newark, Delaware (Iron Hill Hot Rods) created the entire set up for me out of stainless and refined it. I am definitely happy with it now.
The body got a good going over at my friends shop and we ended up painting it a midnight blue, non metallic and black all in satin paint. I'm really pleased with the way it came out. Here are some shots of the final construction and "finished" truck. I'm currently designing and building the interior so it isn't done 100% yet.
And some final shots as it sits in the garage today.
'at are purdy
That little guy is looking killer, definately got the stance & love the color combo, but I wouldn't expect anything else from you. What brand paint & flattening agent did you use, Iv'e been messing around with some base/ clear PPG paint samples & to get the flattness Im looking for Im getting a milky look on the clear.
I used one of the Iron Duke's in my '40 Willys sedan back during the first gas crunch in the early 70's. I'm sure you'll love in the pickup cuz they're fantastic bangers.
OH BABY!!! That little thing sits nice...
Another bitchin' hotrod with perfect stance, you've done it again Lance.
Killer LANCE..... Beautiful.
Perfect stance Lance! Actually, that should be you're nickname.

Wow Lance!! great job!!!
Wow!!! I need to stop by and look at that thing!
That truck has a great look to it and I like that color combo, it was the same as my truck just not shiny.
almost makes me want to move back to Jersey
No, you don't really want to do that!!
A great addtion to an already super stable. I'm betting you have a hard time deciding which one to drive.
You have done a fine job!
I like the truck but I'm a little partial.
Lance! Looking good. Was it fourteen years ago you bought the thing and started dreaming? Sweet results, and I love that you have that "vision" to stick with your plan. Good job. Don't forget to post some pictures of the inner fenders as they make it all shiny under there! GA
great looking truck!
your stance is perfect!!!
...and it was YOUR truck, about 20 years ago that set the stage for this adventure with mine.
Great looking Lance, sits really nice!
