I'm still trying to find a comparable aftermarket rod for my 390.
I did stretch the frame almost 2" to get the motor to fit without cutting the firewall. The owner of the car needs all the foot well room we can get.

My 37 Ford with a 331 block bored and stroked to 400 cubes . Crankshaft Co. stroker kit , 12:1 compression , Crane ultra hi-rpm drag cam , Smith adjustable push rods , 57 tri carb. manifold , 57 heads ported and polished , Jacobs ignition , Scheifer 11" clutch , Muncie 4 speed wide ratio, Olds. 3.42 rear . First intake was a Horne 4 carb. second was a Hilborn Injection , third tri -power .
