Who's got tapered nuts??

Not those kind!!! Who sells the tapered nuts needed for mounting the wishbone to the ford axle?

 

Almost any streetrod place like Posies etc.

got nuts (and a thing in the middle) just not tapered

 

I was kind of thinkin' that was a little personal myself . . . I dunno if this Mrs. quite knows that accurately enuf.

 

depends on how hard my girl's been sucking...

 

One of mine has more taper than the other, dunno why. But Speedway has what you are looking for.

any old ford parts supplier will have them. they are the same `28 to `48. about $1 each

they look like this:

 

I found that the tapered aluminum spacers used to allow rod ends more angle change work well. Then I secure them with a 5/8"-18 self-locking half nut. Looks a bit more trick than those castle nuts.

 

Wow, I just checked out the thread so I could goof on the title, and found what I'd put on the shopping list tonite.

Damn, the HAMB is cool.

So now I can cancel the order for 1/2" extensions... (see pic)
