My daughter and I built a 60 chevy 4 dr for her to drive her senior year in college. Sitting in storage right now waiting to begin a redo. Last fall we cut the springs and lowered it about three plus inches. Gonna do a mild custom job on it.
Check the front fenders over the head light area. Rear quarters over wheel openings as well as lower rear quarters behind rear wheels. Also the underside of the hood front lip tends to rust out and then pinholes the hood skin itself. Trunk pans and floor pans and as mentioned around the rear window.I guess the same as most 50 year old cars. Sheet metal parts are becoming easier to get. We dropped a 283 and an aluminum PG into it and she drove it 900 miles to North Carolina from Northern Michigan in 1 day. Guess we did alright.

 

I gave this one to my youngest Daughter in her Senior year of High School
14 yrs ago she still has it in great shape,She Loves that 60

Here's mine. I picked it up in 1994 and it still looks the same. The guy I bought it from told me it was 100% complete, except for the generator. When I got the car home and opened the trunk... yep, three generators!

You guys may already know, but Dave Kossman who lives out in my neck of the woods has a bunch of '60 trim parts and does show quality resto work on bright work. Help helped me a bunch with my '59 a couple years ago.

Yeah its in post 18 from a few years ago,I would like to find one with nice black paint etc.etc. like it(nice car)for 8 grand like they did on TV last week for 8 grand.......

Love that Robin's egg blue! Since this string has started, I've gotten mine pretty much done and have been driving it for a few years now.
