Who's going to Day of the Drags? I can't wait to drive my 55 Chevy down that beautiful vintage track in the presence of so many awesome rides!

  7. its an awesome texas thing, vintage drags at a vintage dragstrip untouched/unchanged by todays safety standards :) , people are there to run the shit out of 'em and its fantastic hearing them screaming towards the big end, man I love that track, it really takes me baaaaaaaack.

I have been thinking of racing at that track more regularly. It really isn't any further drive for me than Sealy, and I have been racing there too. The wait for the Day of the Drags is almost unbearable!

That track hasn't changed too much since I ran there in 1969 when guys would run across the track in front of you about half way down exchanging bets on who was going to win the race you were in at the time. It made things interesting going for third while some guy was running across the track with cash in his hand in front of you.
I'm going to have to plan a trip to visit the inlaws during the race one of these days.
