I haven't fully paid for it yet. I gave him 100 for it so far just to hold it till I have time to pick it up. Giving 1000 total for it. If I got it I'd pull all the wood out and use tubing. You guys would pass this one up then? I think it could look good built.

  2. Love that one - think I've only seen a 3/4 rear shot before.

  3. I helped my friend build this tall '27 eons ago. Channeled over a rectangular tube frame, dropped axle in front, and a coil sprung three bar rear. He had looked at a "fall-a-part" wood framed coupe earlier; but opted for the steel framed '27; wise move, methinks.

I still want to build one but maybe I should keep looking for one with more steel.

  6. My kid just brought one back from ND; it's sold now; but I can see if he is getting any of the other coupes out there.

Just depends how much. I'm kind of a broke SOB. The reason I was going to buy this one was because it was only 1000 dollars and not rotten.

Now this is over a year and a half later but I finally located that issue of Rod Action. January 1992. It was a letter from John McDonald, a former owner. I scanned just the last part of his letter because whenever I try to include everything, I tend to get an ERROR messa Scan-201011-0001.jpg ge.

  25. I always dig the right angle to see the engine through the radiator, never goes over 190 no matter what I'm doing with it.
