Anyone have pics of body mounts they made to put a t body on a A chassis
Here is mine. Just sat body on a chassi yesterday. Body fits awesome on an a chassis. Body mounts will be easy.
Looking good JW
There wasn't a thread called Who is changing your model T. I guess that is where this should be.
I have always thought the mags on my car just were not quite right for the 62 build time........so I changed it. The car now has steel wheels and chrome full moon caps.................I like the look
don't kno how to post pix, but building a27 cpe topchopped 5'', rear wnd 2'', wndshld 3'', not channeled, body was too good so its hiboy. trying to finish for TROG, 8ba w/slngsht int,blk hds, belond stil headers, 39 linc. trans, columbia od, 40 strg, mordrop axl, 36 drveshft header cutouts, 48 brks, 5;25 x 18 wirs frnt, 7;50 x 16 widnd wirs rear 53 f-1 inst panl . will pick up radiator tomorrow, try to get body on chassis this wk nd then paint next week, if weather permits. i call this my 1958 hischool build, most parts have had many years others swapmeet, doing all the work, taking longer than i thought it would???? black chassis, moonshine blue body. i know....but i bought the mexican blankets YEARS ago so i'm gonna use them..........
...from an old song...."the name of the place is I like it like dat........" Steelies look right and the hubcaps are even more right!
Nice improvement for the look and a lot more 62 then the mags.
The mags sure looked great to but more like 64-67 to me.
Saw this at a swap meet on Saterday, hope to see it built in the near future.
Its not $450 as there's another 0 behind the tie down. JW
Wish I could have made it to the PN swap meet. There seems to be a lot of T bodies being imported from the US by chaps down that way.
Finished wet sanding and buffing the passenger side today.
Eric, that is STUNNING !! JW
Hey Kume, there was this 25 T as well for 4K. All the ones down here are from the same guy (Gary) and he has a shed full of cool stuff, 33 5w,32 5w, 54 Vette and many A's and T's.
There is another swap meet there in two months but run by the Vintage Car Club. JW
Thanks Jeremy! I saw your other photos on the T thread and can't believe the prices! Yikes!
A lot of freight is in the prices and Gary is a bit expensive. Makes me feel good that I got mine for 10K. JW
I wonder how our prices compare with shipping. The 26 27 coupe would be about US$3000 & The 24 about US$2600.
Still - if you cant get one in NZ the prices sound pretty reasonable to me esp the 26 27 with little woodwork required.
I will keep an eye out for the later swap meet but am planning to do the Shaky town swap meet this year which will blow my swap meet budget on the exorbitant prices of just staying in Chch.
I have added steering now, so it is at least easier to move around for when I find the time for it:
Little update on mine. Hope to be driving it this weekend.
. Here is my t I finished this spring it's been a blast to drive this summer
Started making the hood for the Coupe this weekend.
I changed engines in mine, little more pep
Sounds great. Just what you need...more power. Whats happening with the Henry J ?
I've been swamped and not able to get much done, but heres' the frame ready for the painter! It looks about like a large pallet cart from Home Depot that somebody stole the wheels off.
I hoped to drive it this fall, but...
This is my T I'm currently building, my first hot rod
Nice frame.........love all the holes.......
I sitting by the keyboard and enjoy a cool one.
Have spending a lot of time last two weeks to take my
coupe from this....
Drove mine for the second time today. Hope to have it all.sorted in the next week before I add a head and dual updrafts
I started my collection for a build today.
I need a rear axle, then I have most everything for a rolling chassis.
bubba...why do you doubt me? I ain't selling it.
