Thanks, are you referring to the height of the rail from top to bottom, or from the ground to the the bottom of rail?

  7. Chuckles, tough to see in the picture, did you weld the roof/window corners to the main lower body or is it still bolted on as 26 / 27's came? is that a 26 / 27 type?

No computer expert here but I think if you save your pics to a website like PhotoBucket, you can add the link to your post and it'll usually come out bigger - neat project! Lots od work putting all those parts together.

  9. With all of those "T"s stitched together, you should name your car Franken-T. ;):D

I have finally started on mine.

Just got my frame but it need some modification to fit.:D
Put some of the major stuff together so i could do some mesurements.

And then i could do a blueprint to follow.
Hard to see in the picture but it is on the wheel.

Im decide for a kind of model A style frame.
A z in front and rear and spring over front axel.
Made a simple jig to make the rails equal.

My father have this in his backyard i could use as a weldingtable for my frame.

Cut a long V in the frontrails to taper them.

    And then start the welding.

Then some final adjustment before tacking things together.

    Some final welding.

And finally i got two framerails.

  20. Got those same seats as you, Chuckles Zero. They were bar chairs when I found them in Littleton, CO. Dead ringers.

Exciting news for the Austin hot rodding community. Mecury Charlie's old Tall T, --the one he famously built in thirty days and drove to Paso Robles many moons ago -- has returned home.
Out of respect to the new owner, we won't name names. But don't be surprised if you see a bitchin Tall T buzzing around town. Plans are to put it back to as close as what Charlie built as humanly possible (like the pic). This is a big win for Austin. Be on the lookout, Austinites!

  28. The Von Franco flames and the wheels are different. It had some bodywork issues repaired. The lavendar glitter vinyl has faded on the seats. Other than that, it's the same.
