Been working on my coupe and she's almost ready. Some minor here & there's to take care of but all in all she's just about done. Nothin fancy, just a 283sbc bored out to 292ci, 4 barrel Holley, stock intake, 37 Ford top loader 3sp tranny, and a model A rearend w/ welded spiders (poor boy's posi-trac). It may not blow anybody's doors off but I'll sure have fun!!
We haven't started building our car yet, we don't have a clue what we will build, hell we are not even in the U S yet. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=275552 See you there...we WILL be ready to race.
And dont forget Breeder and his lotion!! If you wait till he's drunk he won't mahe you wear a condom!!!!!
This is what we're bringin'...wanna race??? http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i283/agasrcng/July28dragraces002.jpg
Thanks for the kind words. I think I my best at the first HAMB drags (right after the build and her first time down a track) was in the 14.30's. With a better (much stiffer) posi and the same slicks as last year I hope to get her in the 11's this year.
Buzzards Coupe is on the Deck now for a much needed Rear end upgrade. Last couple of passes have been hard on the Car, to say the least. If the Stars align, He will be faster than ever.
Not yet. Been funneling money towards the '55. And my wife and I bought another house, so I haven't had much time or money to fix up the coupe. Just been cruising the '58 since DOTD. Don't know about his "faster than ever" statement. Seems like you'd have to be fast before you could be faster than ever. Plus, I'm putting more street friendly gears in it this time. I'll most likely slow down a few tenths. But it'll still be fun...
Daaaammmmnnnn!! You are hard on parts!! Tore the tranny up and you have'nt even put the engine in yet!!! See you guys in Joplin.
'Bout halfway done with Buzzards swanky new Rear Hairpins. They're lookin good. Hossfeld bender...How did I ever live without You?
It's embarassin but I'm driving my 46 chevy Pee-you again. The 34, 5 window will be ready for next year for sure but not this year.
Radius Rods are DONE. as soon as the paint dries, it's pinion angle time...assuming I can locate some freakin backing plates and drums.
The record holdin' Falcon (slowest pass at the '06 HAMB drags) will be back to try to beat the 18.01 sec pass from last year. Skinnier driver needed. chicken
