Event Coverage Who's Attending the Jalopy Showdown this Weekend in York Springs, PA?

Well it's been a long, cold winter here in the upper mid-west and I'm certainly looking forward to putting some long distance miles on both Big Olds and Cookie Pusher this year. Friday early AM I'm hitting the highway for Lattimore and one of my most favorite hot rod events of the season, the Jalopy Showdown.

So, who am I going to see there???? and what are you driving so I can keep my eyes open. I'll have to figure out how to resize my Cookie Pusher photos so I can load one here.

Both my girls have softball tourneys in different towns this weekend. I am going to sneak away to billetproof for a while on Saturday then shoot over to watch my daughter play.
Have a safe trip and say hello to everyone for me.

It just about killed me when I broke down in Pittsburg on my way there last year and I had to get towed home. I so missed seeing all my east coast pals. Cookie Pusher has been gone over with a number of sharp eyes and lots of changes and upgrades made. Plus I've been driving him non-stop since the snow melted and no one hicup soI'm pretty confident. See ya on Saturday bud!

 

I'm heading down from the great white north, it's been a long winter and wet spring, my hotrods are still covered up in the garage, so I'll be driving my 65 F100 shop truck. Look forward to seeing everyone! If it rains Friday night and the races are cancelled at Williams Grove, is there anything else to do?

 

looking forward to my first Jalopy Showdown. Undecided as to weather to come down friday and camp. Or just drive down on saturday morning. Anybody have any thoughts on the camping experiance there?

Walking around on Friday evening checking out the swap meet, socializing, visiting the different campfires, etc is an awesome way to pass the time. I wouldn't miss a Friday evening at Lattimore for nothing....it's half the event for me.

I camp once a year, period and it's at the Jalopy Showdown that how much fun it is....but you can'tbe a loud, obnoxious, drunk a-hole though. Normal party atmosphere is expected and appreciated.

I'll be there again - hitchin' a ride with Jerry (HomemadeHardtop) in his Deuce . Hopefully next year I'll be driving my Shoebox (fingers crossed) .

 

Ill be headed there. Been trying to go for years and this time its going to happen

Also, I did want to mention that I'm looking for old, good for nothing flathead heads for a yard project and will trade very yummy cookies for them. If you're going to bring any to the Showdown for me please let me know ahead of time so I can make sure I set aside cookies with your name on them. Thanks in advance

I'm heading to Philly Thursday to take care of some things, then backtracking to Latimore on Fri. Save me a good spot for the Teardrop.

 

Rob, Anthony and I will be there. Probably with the wagon or the coupe not sure yet. Looking forward to seeing you again Denise!

 

Sadly this is the first Showdown in 9 years that I'll miss. You guys have fun and hope everyone has a safe journey to and from the show.

I'll be there Sat. in my Terraplane but only as shotgun. Had my shoulder replaced 5 weeks ago and the Doc. won't let me drive yet, I got a good neighbor, gearhead, his frist time.
