Who's All Planning on Attending the GG's New Indy Event?

It's the weekend of Sept 16th-18th.
I'm going and really looking forward to the new venue especially since it's so close to Bubba's shop and his Firday evening Spam-o-Rama.

Who else is going and whatcha bringing?

 

Well Denise, we're actually going to be up in your neck of the woods that weekend. Wz Junk and I are making our first trip up to Kalamazoo for the N.S.R.A. event. We really enjoyed the garage crawls in and around Indy during the past events. Sam

 

You will have a great time there with our mutual friends that I know you'll be hanging out with. Sorry you're not attending Indy but I am looking forward to seeing you and your brother in Joplin next weekend.

 

I'm planning on being there. I hope it brings flashbacks of the many swap meets that I attended there with my dad when I was a kid.

 

ill be there id love to be driving my shoebox but this thing called working for a living keeps getting in the way of being able to work on it

Just a heads up to anyone who is coming and needs a hotel. They have scheduled the Indy 4 wheel and offroad jamboree the same weekend so hotels might get tough to find.

 

The Hoosier swapmeet at the Marion County fairgounds ( on the east side of Indy) is the same weekend also.

I won't be going, and it's right out my back door!! The wife and I go to Lima, Ohio every year to the "Rebel Run" and also this year is the first time my oldest son will be going, and in his first hot rod so it's kinda speical this year. Sorry to miss it.

Been pretty quite around here regarding the Indy event in a couple of weeks.
Anyone else plan on checking out the new location?

 

We won't be there for the weekend, but I'll be working the Thursday "Poker Run" I'll be at the first stop, the ever famous "Bubba's Hot Rod Shop" on main street in wonderful downtown "Speedway" really hate to miss the first one at the IMS! If you are looking for somethig to do on Saturday night check out Joe Kerr's party, Joe is one great guy and one hell of a rod builder, and fabricator.

 

Runnin down thurs, doing the hot rod of the year run friday morning. Got a meet and greet?

 

Not gonna be able to make it this year, have another local show the same weekend we've committed to - it's on the list for next year though.

 

nope not making it this year, going to Kzoo for NSRA.

I will miss the party at Bubba's

 

Going to Nat's North in Kazoo, but hope the GG's dates are changed in the future, so both events can be attended, as in the past.

 

As a general rule ...

I do not go to GoodGuys events

But I think this event may be the exception.
I like going to the speedway ... and the museum.

 

Bubba said theres a cool party on Saturday night to attend instead of the usual Road Rocket one at Tom Culberson shop won't be happening. Maybe this is the one he's referring to??

Last year we had the HAMB Meet & Greet at Bubba's Spam-O-Rama on Friday evening. Was really alot of fun. I'll see ya there!!

I'll be driving up for the day on Friday or Saturday in my '55 PU. Looking forward to being at the track and museum.

 

Won't make Frankenmuth either, got tickets to the MSU football game for the family, someday I'll make it there

Wouldn't miss it and can't wait to see you, Denise and Mikey! Will be there in my 55 wagon and picking up the new 63 Indy 500 Support truck for one of my pals to drive. Going to head up with the Hot Rod of the Year participants Friday to our old track, Muncie Dragway. Our logo from the sixties has been adapted by Goodguys for the HOTY deal and I have made some decals to hand out to the participants as a way to say "thank you." I have not been back since my parents sold it in the 70's and I hauled the last trash out of there in our track truck from the Little Go event. Going to be a bit emotional for me and I cannot wait for the entire event...should be awesome!!!
