whos all going to Pigeon Forge?

Im planning on going to the Shades. It would be cool to meet more hambers, only met one or two last time.

 

I plan on rideing up on sat. for the Shades I have never been to it. I always go to the Grand run the next weekend.

 

Be there on Wednesday...great show Shades!!

 

Went to Pidgeon Forge 3 years ago and didnt know about the show. Took 2 hours from Sieverville to Pidgeon Forge. Next day walked and saw tons of all kinds of cars and trucks.
Have fun lots to see.

 

I'll be there, cruising the swap meet.

Yup - hope so.

I'll be a spectator this year but looking forward to it nonetheless.

 

Going up on Wednesday in the new (old) Pontiac. This will be a real test of endurance for her, the farthest I gone since picking it up a couple months ago. If anybody see's the pea green and white 56 Pontiac on the side of the road, send a tow truck!

 

The National Weather Service says that the weather will be DRY ... and in the 80's ........

 

Always a great show and a good time.

One problem over the last few years as been the problem with cars and trailers getting stolen right out of motel and hotel parking lots at night.

I have friends who now sleep in the race trailer for just this reason.

One friend parked his car in a hotel parking spot that had a security guard on duty all night sitting in a guard house which was the only way in and out of the parking area and yet when he woke up the next morning a 6:AM the car was gone!!! True story

Please have fun and enjoy the trip but be very careful and do not let your guard down even for a minute.

We've been going to the mountains for the car shows since back in the days of the outlaw rod runs in Gatlinburg,Tenn.

I really enjoy The Shades of the Past show and the Southeastern Deuce Show that is a show within a show.

Look for Deuce Roadster and me at the Deuce Show on Saturday. HRP

 

We are going up tomorrow morn,can't wait

 

We will be driving the sedan and leaving Wednesday morning. HRP

 

I hope to be there, spectating only. This will be my first time..........finally. Can anyone give me any advice, clues, heads-up, etc. as to the best place to find parking for spectators? I don't mind walking, but would like to get within a "reasonable" proximity of the show without sitting for hours in traffic. Any help is much appreciated, Thanks.

 

Spectator parking is just down the hill from the show held at Splash Mountain,,they have trolleys running so you wont have to walk too far.

Traffic has always been a problem just get there early,,beat the rush. HRP
