  1. Scored tonight on a 49 convertible merc and a 64 coupe de ville I've been trying to buy these for a while now and the guy finally called me and let's just say it was the deal of the century! I may be able to buy a wrecked 87 honda for the price I paid for both cars! Paperwork on both rides to.. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1381647068.323626.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1381647010.521019.jpg u

  10. Barn find, concrete building find, quonset find, granary find, old garage find, new garage find, field find, beside the house find, storage unit find, your neighbor's car in the garage he would never sell. Who cares? Some of you politically correct people need to get a life. Fact is he came up with a couple of pretty sweet rides and you didn't. Nice score, no matter where you found them.

  11. Is that a studebaker truck in the background?

Great find. And for you who doubt where he got them, looks like it's at a farm. Some farms have BARNS!
He never said they were IN a barn or under one. Possibly he drove past a barn to get there.
Still two nice cars for a Honda price.
Now let's bitch about his spelling.:(

no... some people need to get more creative about describing a car they buy. this is NOT a barn find car. period. they're just cars stored on someone's property that the owner finally decided to sell...

the same people who need to read a bit more before they call a car with AC, cruise and disc brakes a traditional hot rod

"barn find" used to mean something, but is becoming about as much fun to read about as a "rat rod build"

  15. Yup, and the sloop John B

  16. Hey FiddyFour, the Packers are going to play today, lay back, chill a bit, drink some wine, anything to get the taste of pissed in Cheerios out of your mouth.
So it was a barnYARD find, I'm happy for the guy!

  26. The barn find term has been diluted and thrown around so much in the last few years that it has lost the impact and significance it once had. HRP

    BAM-BAM!

No...some people need to get more creative with their posts. Like maybe at least mixing a good word or two with the bs.

    BAM-BAM-BAM!

I don't think it ever had any great "impact" or "significance". Big deal...it's just nit-picking semantics.

Man, RS89...the Merc convert is a major score! No matter what the "experts" say, they can NOT diminish the significance of that. I think they're probably just jealous...as I am...lol. Congratulations. Keep us posted on your progress.
