  3. Thanks guys! I'm so stoked on this, and so are my kids. They've been bugging me to get back in an open car and now we are.

    Jeffery James, I'm watchin your thread like a hawk! Not sure what direction yet but it'll be 50s and earlier all the way. And its staying '35 all the way, aint no '36 turncoat here I tell ya!:D

    I wanna make it low like LowDug37's car, simple yet effuckinfective baby!

    Django, I'll be picking your brain for sure, whats your number?:D

    Zack, what would you do? hehe

    Cool. I am pretty much watching everything on the HAMB that can help me get this thing running and looking good. I think as long as I can tackle the big steps like firing the motor and the stance the little things will follow at a good pace. Check out Enbloc's new 3w thread because he is tackling a lot of necessary items but also what makes the car stand out. I am sure he's probably got a lot more to share since his last post. That car is pretty amazing.

    What engine are you going to run? Tell me flathead so I can cry.....jealous. Actually I am really digging the SBC right now and I might sell my 303 Olds to make way for a true 55-58 Chevy engine later down the line. I'll have enough flathead stuff to fill my brain once my '32 is well on it's way.

    The latest additions are great...especially the phaeton....boy do I love that body style. I finally got steel wheels for mine and it makes a big difference. Decided against whitewalls... to much $$$ and I really like the black wall hot rod look better. Now I just have to wait for my youngest to finish college to get the interior done.....it only took me 12 years to get it to this point....:rolleyes:

  23. Not usually a fan for chopping these 5w models, but this is the exception;
    nicely done. Wash. Blue color? What tire size combo. are you running? Bitchin' stance....
    Your "updates" really made the car perfect....

    Thanks for the compliments. Paint is PPG base/clear...the paint store came up with a close match for Washington Blue based on an old color chart they had. Wheels are 15X5 front 15X7 rear 3 3/4" back spacing. Tires are 185 60 15 front and 235 75 15 rear. Rear end is 10 bolt chevy with chassis engineering springs, front is dropped tube axle, posies spring, and Speedway 4 bar with panhard bar. I had to put a 1 1/2 inch spacer on top of the spring because the car was too low and tended to scrape the grille in driveways! DRUSS has a thread with pictures of the chop in progress.

    Man that roadster is awesome Johnnie!!! I would be tempted to leave that fucker alone but a drop axle could and would make it better!!!
