OK ... I'll play too. All the major components of my little roadster are 1941, or earlier. There's some pieces newer (like the `42 taillights) but otherwise intended to be reminiscent of a pre-WWII hot rod: `38 flattie, top loader, torque tube, `34 rearend and spring, `32 box converted to cowl steering, yadda, yadda. And -- just for the record -- I've already pre-registered for the 2014 Roundup! And I'm very happy with my `35 wires
Thanks for all the compliments on my car, guys.... unfortunately it will not be anywhere near done in time. Too many other irons in the fire... its WAY on the back burner. I sure appreciate it though! Zach
Very nice car. Is this something that could have been seen on the dry lakes, in the era Ryan is looking for?
This has probably been shown before, but it'll help narrowing down a 'look". I hope. Or it's just cool to see old footage.
Thanks for the comment. The era would be correct, but it is a Flat Tail Sprint Car, Model B Engine, McDowell OHV Head with Winfield Carbs. Raced on Board Tracks and dirt tracks like Legion Ascot Speedway in the 1930s. Probably didn't make it to the Dry Lakes type events. Don't think it is a good match for Ryan's Wheels, but fun car anyway.
Looks like the old Jag knock-offs. In that case... it'll look great on some cars but questionable on my early picks. Whatever car you choose I feel that they belong on a finished and a glossy painted car! Posted using Full box of Crayons on the Kitchen Walls App!
This car is awesome! A TRUE HotRod. I did take a peek at your profile, trying to find more photos. Man, you run the crap out of this thing! Good Luck.
