I don t know why you are all so offended by some differant wheels. I really don t think the chop helps the car much but its cool. Is there a list of acceptable modifications somewhere. I bet it handles a lot better with those wheels and tires.

Only worse wheel treatment is the current "gaudy chrome wheel/rubber band tire" fad,... UUUUUUUUUUuGLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone please post a 2638 X 1978 pixel image so I can read the recommended tire pressure on the sidewall?

    Whoops, never mind.

    ** Hey Buick55Century,

Thank you for the links. Current owner changed the dash & mileage is WRONG!

I sold the car with 47,000 miles & that's what the title says. LOL

My current car (COOL 64), a 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix (a Richard Zocchi car)

is a real steal at $75,000. Car is featured in the October 2012 issue of Kar Kulture

    Deluxe Magazine.

This just proves that it's still happening.
Most of us sit around and scratch our heads wondering what happened to all those fine old kustoms and rods from back in the day, and how the one's that do turn up could ever be allowed to fall into the state of disrepair that they are in. Here we are seeing it happen in real time.
It's just what happens when they fall out of the hands of people who know what they are doing (and looking at apparently) and in to the hands of those with more cash than taste.
I'm sure the car will stay in limbo for awhile, bounce around between lots and owners and eventually end up lost with people wondering what ever happened to...
Sadly the car would probably be in it's original shape if it had have been exported...

I bet you would be wrong. Cheap big wheels like that are usually much heavier than what they replace, this alone will negatively change handling.
