We will be there! With a blown big block model A roadster, yellow! Not mine but might have my merc there next year, I will set the slowest time with it then! LOL Jim
I'm still coming but... the wagon isn't. Just plain ran out of time. I'll be bringing the digger with the Blazer.
Had hoped to get a few passes on the 57 before this, but just did'nt work out that way. This will be the first time it's been on the track in 40 years.
I'll get in late Friday night, just me & the camera, meeting up with my folks, uncle Povertyflats & the Mrs., and a bunch more of our fam/friends. See ya'll Saturday morning!
Kerry: You really did a nice job on your build!!!!!! And a great looking shot at the track Any et's, top mph or 60 foot times??????? Allen in PA
Not yet, just an evening of working bugs out. She's ready for the HAMB drags but I'm not sure I am. THis is the first car I've ever driven that actually scares me. ;-)
1963 Dodge Polara 440 - 440/727/8.8, Calvert Racing Shocks and Bars, Hurst Vintage Race Tires all around, Doug's Headers helped us get the exhaust together and Wheel Vintiques built the cool 4.5" Police Rallys for the front. Car was originally put together by Don Vance in West Siloam, and Dwayne, Kenny, Nick, Martin, Jill and myself did the modifications and additions to get it ready to run at the H.A.M.B. Drags. It will be our first time out with this car, and our first Drags, so don't expect too much. We just wanted to support the H.A.M.B. Alliance and have some fun.
Robert, I was looking forward to seeing you this year. You were the first person I met when I started on the HAMB message board. Maybe we will see you in Lakeland. Papa Tom
Kerry, If you can build a car like this, don't be afraid of it! 120" wheelbase is fairly short, but I have a 120" and a 96" Slingshot. Just enjoy the clouds for a few seconds when your Hemi hooks up and don't over steer to correct Just let her take you were she want's to go and let here down slow after the launch Allen in PA
Im planning on coming. I will be the Idiot on the silver Crotch Rocket. I hoped to be driving some old rusty bucket of bolts by this time this year, but it didnt happen. So, Im cruising my sport bike down this year.
I went to Mo-Kan all evening, expecting to see several old cars getting in a few runs. Only one red T was out there. I just Cruised by the Holliday Inn. Several badazz cars. I didnt stop, heck I dont really know anybody on here. I will probably meet several people tomorrow at Mo-Kan.
