Who has a Gasser style car ? Stand up and be counted !

Hey OahuEli. Its been a while forsure. The body guy had it locked up for a year, but it turned out great so what can you say! Had it home for a couple of weeks and its gone again (exhaust). Think thats it for shops the rest is up to me and Johny Cash and maybe a little CCR!

Here's mine from hamb drags 2012. It has been a drag car since mid 60's. Bakersfield was home track. 390" Cleveland grenaded at this event (broke a 6" Chevy rod). Built a 331 ford off of a dart iron eagle block, Callie's crank, crower rods, comp custom solid roller, Dart iron heads worked over, little field 6-71. Still has a big shaft top loader. Transplant of mills, in progress.







Last pic was the run that chucked a rod at 8400rpm....

 

64T-bolt, I like it. I hope mine turns out as cool as yours.

 

My neighbor has a '63 Sprint he's had in his barn for 23 years. I'm trying (unsuccessfully so far) to talk him out of it. I'd love to build a Falcon gasser from a 1st gen Falcon and power it with a BBC 427 Chevy/4speed I've got squirreled away. I've got a complete rebuilt Econoline straight axle sitting here too! I know it might piss the diehard Ford guys off, but I don't know Ford engines at all.

 

So far, we're calling this one "Yesterdays Cousin" , or..,

 

... "Acid Trip"

Here is one of my Willys projects, hope to have it done soon. Tribute car, this is what it should look like when im done. I have two others, one it a pick up that i drive, making a console for the A/C and radio, it's real close. The other is a race car. Had to build a new roll cage for it, as it would not certifiy when i got it. Doing alot of clean up on it, will be back on the track soon.
