I’ll take one over any other engine , aluminum intake , water pump , tube headers and it’s near as light as the Chebbie , and you can not fix stupid . All of them that you want to use as a boat anchor , I bet when you toss one from your Chebbie powered boat you any draggin it anywhere !

The 74 460 used the Cater Thermoquad. I did see a picture of the Quadrajet FE manifold once, it was supposedly off of a late 60's Ford U-Haul truck. Keep your eyes open for one. I would be interested.

If you have a regular FE intake Mr. Gasket makes an adapter to go to a spreadbore carb.

    As mentioned by others:

    Ford used 4 different Q-Jets as original equipment in the 1970 model year: 429 S/T, 429 S/T with A/C, 429 A/T, 429 A/T with A/C. These were held over to 1971.

I have no record on domestic usage of the Q-Jet on Ford engines other than the 429 CJ.

In 1974, Ford used a Carter thermoquad (TQ) on the California ONLY versions of the 460 passenger vehicles.

Have sold several of both to Ford owners that did not also own stock in one of the major oil companies:p:D;)

I don't follow the aftermarket intakes, other than multi-carb units, but Offenhauser does list 6061-DP for use on FE's through 1972 (this in a 1973 catalog).

That Latham is very interesting. If I could subtract about 30 years, I would try to talk you out of it ;)

The conversation normally includes: “Well, I bought it off a guy that had it, and other FE parts stored in a casket for 30 plus years…”
