Never meant to be a show car that will shy away from a less than perfect day. Just another ride that's enjoyed as often and whenever possible. You too? Was cruising till near midnight, back out in the shop just after midnight behind some New Year wishes. Then on the road this morning in spite of the snow and cold and no heater to start the year off right. Sure chases the Winter and world blues away for me..............
I know it still feels Winter cold to you guys in Texas and Georgia and I salute you. Anymore guys battling the snow to get out?
We'd have to drive at least 250 miles north to get a picture near a big white pile of stuff. Up in the Panhandle where the sand dunes are. But wouldn't need the heater. Does that count? Metal man we had donuts at Wal-Mart!
Well, it just so happens that I woke my kid up with all the noise. He came out and got some evidence. Hold on a minute........
i wish. i tried starting mine up and it had a dead battery.no big deal till i charged it and got it running today only to discover it has a masive misfire and all 8 are not firing..spent a hour or 2 and still cant figure it out.its to cold out now so i came back inside.
had my RPU out for a bit just to get the engine hoist around it to get the flattie off the the machine shop tomorrow morning. i dont know how they got around back then. did get to test out the electric warn pullzall to get the engine hoist to the truck they dont roll very well in snow
Metal man you're a bad influence on your kid. Way to go! Used to drive bone stock 29 Model A tudor in snowy winters in central Illinois. They seem to handle pretty well.
He was less than a month old the first time he saw donuts from the backseat of that car! His mom wasn't happy...
Mine new years eve just before midnight..parked in front of one of those giant moving flashlights. I drove 35 miles to work and then a 160 mile round trip after work tonight. The rebuilt 250/ 700r4 /3:73 combo works great.
Hey, it was cold here in OK! But thankfully no snow! Pulled on the wool socks, coveralls and hoodie. Fired up the 32 roadster and hit the road. No heater so you're on your own. Cruzed about 20 miles. Not much wind, so you can lean to the center of the windshield with minimal side drafts! Second best way to bring in the New Year!
I had my 55 and 37 out to switch garages, put the 37 in the garage attached to the house and the 55 in the big garage to reconfigure the stereo system in it.
I had mine out long enough to move it into the neighbors garage and back to my garage and back again. No donuts.... not yet anyways
