  5. Pic is a few years old but this was my daily when I worked at Sears.
People still say something like "there used to be one like this at Sears everyday" when they see it.
I always get a chuckle when I see their response after I tell them im the guy and I still have it.

  8. My brother and I got some shots of our vehicles near the spin tunnel at Langley AFB. In the early forties our Dad worked in the tunnel for NACA. 70+ years later my brother works in the same building which is now located on the air base. NASA proper is now across the runway from this location.

I don't drive to work. They pick me up, and bring me home.

If I did drive the hot rod to work, I would be in violation of the terms of my insurance policy.

I drove my truck to work again Friday. Same truck, same parking spot and same building but now it's an Arnolds Motor Supply store.

  14. Not my car, but it did show up where I work. #419. Bought from a guy who owned it since '66. Interior and mechanical rebuilt/repaired, everything else is as bought.

Here is my daily driver, I drive this to work year round. It's always fun to see people reaction in winter when I'm pushing through the snow. 010.JPG

There's just something cool about old cars/hot rods, surrounded by those metal, conformist coffins that the rest of the world uses for transportation. It says, "Cool".

One day, years ago, I was running an errand and approaching a small bridge. Just before I reached the crest of the bridge, a Deuce roadster crossed over in the opposite lane. It was like I was watching an old B movie. Sweetness on 4 wheels.

Don't work anymore and the 50 Chev is blown apart in the paint shop, but I did take the kid to school in the 70 Chevelle this morning. 37 degrees and raining. Does that count?
He told me to please not do a burnout in the parking lot as he didn't want to explain me to the principal... LOL

  20. Not to work but I've been driving it regularly since getting it on the road. To the doctor's office this particular day, picking up my son at school, who wouldn't drive something with 750+ horse...lol 20160919_102715.jpg

  23. Holy Fuck Man! I think it needs a few more carburetors but otherwise it's badass. Can anyone say "balls of steel"?

Lots of great dailies on here. I get a bunch of crap at work because most of the summer I drive my old cars- it's a private club and I'm pretty sure they don't appreciate being jealous of an employee car. Wannabe snobs.

    Hey Flamed,
That is one of my favorite from way back in 57 when I first saw it in a story about Studebaker coupes in Hot Rod Mag as a little kid. Yours looks awesome. Those discs are the best...

  26. I did @ 19 degrees and windy. The car woke up ok, manual choke works well, but I gave it a few minutes to warm up. The heater came in handy too. Darth Vader was nice enough to take the picture for me!
