    Id probably put whites on it but it looks great with the black walls. It looks sinister, fast, mean, it just looks good, the car has such a clean look to it and the blacks ad to it.

    Same wheels with the spiders with some 6.70 15 biasply whites would nail the look!!!!
    Or some olds caps or something like it would be cool
     
  6. Ya I'm gonna have to say go with whites....but I think your car looks pretty tough right now with the black ones, at least good enough till you can order some new WWW

    Did you spill your coffee this mornin? Clearly he respects our opinions. I was gonna let it pass but you have more character than a response like this. Too much of it happening, and once in a while I'm guilty too. You know what it needs, as do all of us and why it works for you or most others.

    Back on topic, I think the WWW add length and bring that element to the party. The skirts would be the cat's ass on it too. Of course some cars just beg for a nice chop too. Blackwalls are for drag racer styled cars, but even then some WWW slicks would look kool even with skinny blackwalls up front. It's not racer and you know what you want. Go for it. You'll love it.

    Another vote for whitewalls! Wonder what it'd look like with the wheels painted that nice gold plus the spiders?

    Gonna go against the grain. Can't help it...I like the blackwalls. Looks "tough", and easy on the eyes. Clean and simple. I agree that bias-plys would be best though, and leave off the spiders.

    Kinda depends on what look you're after...a tough, "I mean business" look, or cruiser. If your car has a bad-assed rumble, so much the better with the blackwalls. Just my opinion.

    WWs but shoot Im not even mad at the black walls. I think the skirts look great too. So what to get first, new whites or skirts? ;)

    I like the WWs with caps, but think it need to be lowered alittle in the back for skirts. Great looking car.

    I too have to vote for the white wall. I little drop to the front end would help. Nice car either way.

    Its not that I want other peoples approval, it just that I DO respect the opinons of most of the people around here. Im not an old timer, and this is my first traditional hot rod (first hot rod for that matter), so I like to see what the guys on the Traditional message board have to say about these kinds of things.

    Would never have known about what richard d posted if I hadnt asked the question!

    It kinda sucks to be the only person into trad. hotrodding for a 40mile radius, thats why I love the HAMB.
