History White inner fender wells

Saw your Chevy at the LSRU. Used the moment to quickly tell about Watson and Grapevine/Heartless to my mom! Unfortunately it was bitterly cold and we didn't stick around. Would like to have met you. See you next year though!

 

Man, sorry to have missed you. We spent a lot of time in the swap meet and vendors on Saturday trying to keep warm. LOL Already looking forward to next year!

 

All done. I’m pleased anyway. We’ll see how long it holds up on a daily driver. Lol

Did mine white on my 60 Chevy in 64 while in high school with house paint and a brush.
In 65 shot up in class by spraying rattle can on my new 65 GTO, old man just shook his head at me, never got the car thing with me.

 

I like it on show cars.
On the street, not so much.

I LIKE it on ALL cars, doesn't even have to be white,, HERE'S MY OLD TRUCK

 

W-30 olds had the red inner fenders....

 

When did this fad start (years)to come in to play?

 

Probably not the first, but certainly by 1959.

Years ago 57 ford had tube grille, white inner fender wells. Small lights behind grille & front tires. Cruise Saturday night, hit a switch & lights behind grille & tires. Shine on & cruising “cool”
