The average American gets just over 28,000 days on Earth...we should all be so lucky to spend 10 of them like this.

Thanks for taking the time to put that story together. You are a rad dad. It brought back some warm and fuzzy feeling of road trips as a little kid in our family's black and white '59 Chevy with its special "smoke screen" feature. Burgers in Wallace Idaho. Endless signs for- "The SNAKE PIT, ahead!" Groovy beaded headbands at the 100,000 Silver Dollar Bar and getting charged by an angry buffalo on a back road in Montana! It also brought back good times rolling through Texas in a rock and roll band. I truly love it down there and was treated so kind. Thanks again. Now go have a good surf!

  19. Dude...
    THAT WAS AWESOME!

My first child is about 7.5 months away from seeing the light of day, so i bought him/her a 57 chevy 4 door as a welcome gift.

i pray i'll get to have the same experience with my family.

    You're a blessed man.

    thanks for sharing.

Easily the best HAMB thread I've ever read and I've been here a long time. With a two year old and one on the way and a '53 Chevy wagon in the garage, I can't wait to take a trip of our own!

This is easily one of the best threads of the year.. Road trip threads rule, and yours is no exception.

I miss taking long-distance road trips with my family. Those were the good old days. Great to see your kids will have those memories too.
