After much thought I think the best thing would be for me to lose my Ford O Matic and put a stick shift in.. Which T5 Transmissions will fit the Ford Shoebox behind a flathead. There was a great article in Hot Rod Magazine last year and I can't remember which issue it was. Any info greatly appreciated..

Years of T5 and which cars they came out of ..
I heard the S-10 pickup with long tail shaft housing. Are there any other years/models to choose from?

The T5 from an S10 is a good choice, shifter location is in a good location. Use one from a S10 in the 80's, they have a machanical speedo.
Starting in the 90's they went to electronic speedo. There are a couple different gear ratio's for the S10 T5, do a search here you should be able to find alot of good info on this swap.
