Like said, I like both, I like the early because of the cowl shape, but the later ones look like it has more room and flows better, but I'd take either one. I'm not looking for one in particular, I;m just looking for an A!

I vote for the 28/29 because of the cowl shape and the radiator shell. The 30/31 radiator shell looks , to me, like a Chevvy. Not necessarily bad but, it ain't a Chevvy.
They all look good with a chop, even the Chevvies.
    Davo.

When I was searching for an A project body last year, I really didn't care whether 28-29 or 30-31. Ended up with a '30, but would have been happy with either. Just wanted to build a chopped A coupe, was motivated by people like Brian Bass and Jimmy White. Chop on the body I bought was said to be 4", but I never measured against original to check.
RE the comment about the radiator shells, my frame (Riley) has a 4" swept front, and the 30-31 radiator was going to sit too high IMHO. So I'm using the earlier shell. BTW, turned out a T radiator is a pretty good fit.
Hope to be on the road by Spring!

Right now I'm in the 30-31 chopped camp, and I'll also say that fenders belong in a guitar case!

Chopped my 30 3" and still use the stock seat, I,m 6ft tall so this is a good compromise on comfort and stance.

    Mine is a 30 31 less 3 1/2" but I really have a hankerin' for a 28 29.

30-31 for me, like the cowl better - any A chopped 4 in a dark color with good stance looks pretty serious...
