I just bought this 50 chevy 2dr dlx. I want to have it done for the april viva. I'm getting the motor built and don't know where to start. i need to rebuild everything but the body and interior. first time doing a build that wasn't already running. don't have cash to buy all at once so i need to start and finish a section at a time.
I like to do suspension..brakes..steering first...then electrics. Then you have a good mechancial foundation for motor and drivetrain. I've seen too many first timers do motor..trans..the exciting stuff..then makeshift the suspension..brakes. Real dangerous..
AMEN an old timer once said it doesnt matter how fast you can go it matters how fast you can stop......
Good advice, it'd be a shame to have a good runnin' car wrapped around a tree (or worse) on the way to viva. Make it safe first.
