So, I am building a 1937 bantam hotrod. It only has room for a 14 inch wide by16 inch tall radiator. I am running a 60s vintage triumph 4 cylinder engine, so cooling is not a big issue, I just need something to cool this thing. It has a heat exchanger from an old computer in it now, but it is rotten, and I dont know where it came from. Any ideas? IMG_2212.jpeg

Maybe one from a water cooled motorcycle?

Like DDDenny said. Checkout John Deere. Specifically, a 2020A progator. Golf course equipment stuff.

    Hey Jim,
Have a radiator that came with parts from an early 50s Austin A40, 1200cc. Measures 12 wide by 17 high, 2 1/4 deep, IMG_4991.jpeg 3 core. Looks good. Can fill it with water tomorrow if interested. Yours for the cost of shipping from Gettysburg, Pa if you want it. Good luck

When I got my 60s Austin Mini SCCA C-Sedan car in 79, it had a stock Mini radiator just moved from the fenderwell to behind the grille, no fan, had been raced that way since 67. The stock radiator is about 16" x 13". In the 90s I un-retired the car and ran a few events, I sketched a new radiator to fit in the same space and sent the sketch to C&R, they made me a custom alum rad to my sketch, not too expensive. Maybe give them a try.

As mentioned above Austin Mini has a small radiator. Try Mini Mania, for a new one. They have brass/copper and aluminum radiators. I have 1 each for my 67 Mini. The aluminum race radiator should cool 130-150 hp worth of engine.

Lots of good suggestions guys. I’ve got a similar thing, a 27 Whippet shell that I don’t want to spend a thousand dollars to fill. I appreciate all these possibilities.

Try a rad from a '90 or so Geo Metro. I have one that I was going to put in my '34 Austin Ruby before I got the notion to make it an electric car.

Harley Davidson V-Rod radiator. Aluminum and probably a few in wrecking yards.

Go to Champion. They list by core size in inches. I bought one for a Datsun Fairlady and had a cap fitting welded on and rotated the lower hose at a weld shop.

Inland Radiator used to have a catalog with hundreds of radiator cores listed by size. When I was building my last race car I ordered a core from the catalog that fit the size and they made me top and bottom tanks. However, that was a long time ago. They were out of Kansas City, but I don't see hide nor hair of them on the internet.

20 years ago I put a 5.9 cummins in a 47 Diamond T truck. I brought the grill shell to an old guy radiator shop and he said no problem. he had new radiators from old auction buys, and found one the correct height, then cut the top and bottom headers to the width we wanted, made tanks and outlets to fit, soldered it all up for 500 bucks. Too bad those guys are all dead and times have changed. Good luck with your project

Brice Thomas Radiator, Gadsden Alabama can build anything you need. High quality & heavy duty. Welcome aboard the Bantam train! That thing looks great, but I hope you're short! Been working on my '40 Riviera for 3+ years now. Any Bantam guy knows Joe D'angelo at Golden Mile Sales in Allentown PA, he's the go to Bantam parts man. Also, on the Hamb, Blowby had a lot of pics of his '38 Bantam Truck. Good luck, have fun.
PS: Those headlights, if the real deal, are worth a small fortune.

Honda Insight. It's a tad wide but you can probably find the room. Also it has tabs on it to mount the fan for the matching application.

Measured my Geo Metro rad (actually Pontiac Firefly but I don't think they labeled them as such in the USA) and the core is roughly 14"wide by 14"tall and 5/8" thick. From bottom of the lower tank to the top of the rad cap is 18 1/2".

ATV's and Side-by-Sides. Grab your tape measure and head to your local power sports dealer.

Griffin sells dragster radiators that are very small, but fairly thick 2.25" cores. I have one in my '37 Austin that is space challenged and it's kept my SBC engine cool for over a decade now with just a pusher fan ahead of it.
They also custom build to your specs if there's not a stock style.
