    I NEED SOME ADVICE , AS I NEED A DISSY FOR A MODEL A WITH THE ORIGINAL STYLE MOTOR WITH ALLOY HEAD AND STROMBERG CARB , I SEE SUMMIT HAS THEM , ANY OTHER OPTIONS OR CAN I REBUILD THE ORIGINAL WITH MODERN PARTS , ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED , CHEERS BUNDY

    When I was young we used to look for old Baldwin combines they used model a engines and had Mallory distributors.

    If you have an original dist, you can get modern points or an electronic unit that can go in the stock unit. The only drawback is I don't think they have auto advance. Bert's in Denver has a few options. Give them a call and talk to them. I also like the looks of the FSI units mentioned above.

    Contact Bubba here on the Forum, he makes custom ignition systems for almost anything.

    Also look at Mikes Afordable parts.
    He is an independent business but big and has loads of knowledge. Has good web pages where you can browse parts by category. Can not beat his prices either...
