Hey Doug...Happy New Year!
The place belongs to my neighbor. He and his father gathered up all of that tin over a period of 30 or 40 years mostly by digging it out of the sage brush. Most of it is in pretty rough shape and was when they found it.
They traded a Chevy coupe body for the sedan body sitting on the wagon about 25 years ago but wouldn't or didn't sell anything due to harassment from the state which thought they were running an illegal wrecking yard and regularly sent people to try to buy stuff and bust them for running an illegal wrecking yard.
The gent who owns the place lost his dad who was in his 90's a couple of years ago an lost his wife a few months ago so I haven't felt like bothering him about what his plans are for the cars. I do know that his main interest is in the trucks and not the cars.
Now we're gonna have to build a fience to keep the California guys out
Na, we just won't let them hire guides to cross the rez.
The mountains keep me on my side.
I'd love to spend an afternoon walking thru there and shooting the breeze with the owner.
Just hope he does the right thing and get's those parts back into circulation some day!!!
And I thought all these years that Heaven was a myth!!!
