My soft spot car-wise is my bought new in Oct '66 350SS/RS M-20, 3.31 posi Camaro car that I let get away and later bought back that I really need to get back on the road.

That said, I also have a BIG soft spot for the 3" and 3.25" stroke old original SBC engines that you can wind to the moon.

Most pup's nowaday's have NO idea what it's like to wind up a 265/272/283/292/301/2/306/327/333/336 engine up into ricer 4-banger territory! I'm talking to 7 to 8,000 rpm and higher here!

I have to say that it is a real hoot when onna your Buddy's ride's shotgun on a Friday evening beer run and you take off with your 301 and go up, up, up, as he look's over at you and say's, "Whenna you gonna shift the SOB", as you hit above 7,500 rpm with new points and then grab 2nd gear and repeat!!

Caddies. It's a passion that was passed down through the family, originating with my grandfather's '61 vert. My dad has owned 11, my younger brother 3, my little sister 2 and 4 for me. I've had a '78 Fleetwood, a '74 hearse, a '71 Sedan Deville 4 dr hardtop that I inherited from my grandfather and my prized possession is my '47 Caddy ambulance.

    BTW That's one damn fine '55 40StudeDude:D I'm especially a sucker for a 472/500.
