Where is the VIN located on a 34 Dodge Pickup Truck

I need to get a VIN verified on my brothers 34 Dodge Pickup. I looked for it and can't find it.

I would like to help him get this bad boy on the road again.

Look on the driver side frame rail. It is in the side and to the rear if I remember right. The #'s are about a half inch high and not very sharp. It will take good light and good eyes.

 

I have a 1940 Dodge and its a serial number located on the passengers side door frame rail

 

Inside the engine bay, or along the outside frame rail?

So I may end up cleaning off all that paint that has a rough finish along the frame in the engine bay.....

Originally they were registered off the engine numbers, but also on the door post rt side.

 

my 34 dodge sedan is on the door pillar, riveted in place.

 

I have a 33 dodge coupe and have not found serial either,I have looked all over both sides of frame.On fire wall there is a tag with DPRS and the number 48 stamped for body.What does this mean?The car was origionally from Winnipeg Man.Canada.Are canadian car serial in same place?

 

On my 30 dd 3 window coupe....
On the drivers side frame rail, just above and slightly forward of the shackle mount for the rear of the front leaf spring.
2 duces has it right...about 1/2" tall and faintly stamped...
I had to wire wheel it and then rub soapstone on to be able to read it..

My owners manuel for my 33 Dodge coupe states it is located on the door pillar.

 

I have a '35 pickup, front left on the cab, engineside was the plate,
rightside of the chassis has the numbers hammered in, lightly and nearly fading..

 

and DAMN! I want your frontfenders!!

 

on the PASS side b pillar on the body , and on the the front face of the frame drivers side inbetween the cowl and the front crossmember .
