how come every time I find a project i'm interested in its at least 1000 miles away .Seems that it makes no difference where I look (here ,c-list,e-junk) when I find an interesting project I'll have to pay 1000-2000 for the body & close to that again to get it shipped to me from bfe & not counting being unable to inspect it .!!!!!! Just had to vent a little - thanks for listening. HEY WAIT A MINUTE---maybe bfe is where I'm at. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!--------John

move to the Bay Area. I bet I've never driven more than 50 miles one way to buy a car. most were closer to 10-15 miles.

Did you know that both C-list and flee-bay have a function that allows you to search close to your current location? Stop looking at stuff a thousand miles away, problem solved.

There has got to be some old cars still left in your neck of the woods. Just take off one weekend for a drive and go look. Down here the people that have the old cars don't advertise.

  7. Yea but 50 miles in S.F. is a long damned ways. :D

  8. drive around and look for cars then they are never very far from where you are.

  9. If you think finding good old cars in Tn. is bad and shipping is expensive, you should live in Florida.
I'd swap my Florida property for Tennessee property any day.

  10. Damn, I totally forgot to answer the original question, BFE is between pig snarf and stale sandwich.

  11. I say anywhere north of Texas and south of Kansas......
Just kidding, my drives through Oklahoma just always seem SO long.

  12. It's down by Houston......

BFE is exactly 24,901.55 miles in a straight line from where you are standing at any given time.

I drove 50 miles around the same 3 blocks in San Francisco once trying to find a hooker that was not a man.... just kidding.

I live southeast of SF in the middle of suburbia on the other side of the bay. I did look at one car in the city. it was misdescribed and I couldn't find a place to park so I just came home. if the dude was a HAMB member I'm sure he started a whiney post about selling a car.

You ain't looking hard enough locally, surely there is good stuff close by!

  24. Well I sure would have. :D

When I was little I learned that there are places that you cannot go around the block and end up in the same place and other places that you simply cannot get to from here. That's the city.

I think I have been there. It's in Nevada, somewhere between Tonopah and Ely.
