how come every time I find a project i'm interested in its at least 1000 miles away .Seems that it makes no difference where I look (here ,c-list,e-junk) when I find an interesting project I'll have to pay 1000-2000 for the body & close to that again to get it shipped to me from bfe & not counting being unable to inspect it .!!!!!! Just had to vent a little - thanks for listening. HEY WAIT A MINUTE---maybe bfe is where I'm at. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!--------John
move to the Bay Area. I bet I've never driven more than 50 miles one way to buy a car. most were closer to 10-15 miles.
Did you know that both C-list and flee-bay have a function that allows you to search close to your current location? Stop looking at stuff a thousand miles away, problem solved.
ooooh, I dreams of only having to look at stuff that's only 1,000 miles away. You lucky blighter!!!!!!! Green with envy.
There has got to be some old cars still left in your neck of the woods. Just take off one weekend for a drive and go look. Down here the people that have the old cars don't advertise.
If you think finding good old cars in Tn. is bad and shipping is expensive, you should live in Florida. I'd swap my Florida property for Tennessee property any day.
I say anywhere north of Texas and south of Kansas...... Just kidding, my drives through Oklahoma just always seem SO long.
Actually the truth be known and according to Google maps it is about 7,000 miles the other side of Galveston uh give or take.
HEY! Me and a few other hambers live in BFE. It is not bad; low taxes, not much traffic and ton of old cars.
I drove 50 miles around the same 3 blocks in San Francisco once trying to find a hooker that was not a man.... just kidding. I live southeast of SF in the middle of suburbia on the other side of the bay. I did look at one car in the city. it was misdescribed and I couldn't find a place to park so I just came home. if the dude was a HAMB member I'm sure he started a whiney post about selling a car.
Well I sure would have. When I was little I learned that there are places that you cannot go around the block and end up in the same place and other places that you simply cannot get to from here. That's the city.
Uhaul one way trailer and a weekend usually will get you to and from bfe with your next project. I am not advertising for uhaul but it works best.
Hey I got to go to Chigago for some kitchen cabinets and will probably rent a uhaul traler if I can't fit them all in the bed of the truck, uhaul and rider have saved my ass a bunch over the years.
