  7. I started here as bigblock351w (a joke of course) and as in my nature I made a few odd humorous comments that got taken literally (yea like a really meant for you to light your neighbors car on fire, moron) and my name was banned by the intellectually stunted and humorless individual. So now I’m back as bigblock225slant6 and I’m still possibly the most creative one here, that’s not ego, I just don’t color in the lines or stay in the box, my flat head 8 powered dodge neon proves it.

David Mann gave me the name "Krylon" John. I mistook a can of flat black Krylon Dave used to spray matte board for his paintings with for bathroom air-freshener, and accidentally painted his entire bathroom flat black after stinking the place up. The next day Dave called me on the phone laughing, and asked for "Krylon" John. The name has stuck ever since. Anytime I write anything about custom paint or art in general my byline is always "Krylon" John.

Back in the early 1970's Bill LaRosa out in Whittier put together a monthly newsletter for 4Banger guys, called The HOT LINE. Close to what the HAMB is today, just pre internet days. Anyway Bill started calling me The Kid, I was in my 20's and into pre 1940 race cars and Ford speed equipment. When I joined the HAMB I was heavy into the 1937 Harley restoration, a twin to the one Dad bought new. I just stuck the 37 in between The Kid and here I am. Sold the Harley, and the Lyndwood rail is the current must finish project.

My wife and I own a 1978 vespa moped, NOT A SCOOTER. A moped has pedals. On sunny days we will bar hop around our little beach town. Like most hardcore bikers do. (we are the 0.1%ers.....biker's who ride mopeds...haha j/k) Someone somewhere said "hey there's that couple always on that moped. Hence mopedcouple, and we pretty much share all our internet accounts. (email, ebay, etc) So everything is mopedcouple, and most of the time its never taken. the one separate account that we have is mrmopedcouple & mrsmopedcouple. Its dorky, but so are we.
