Where did they all go?

Ever since I started work on my 36 Ford PU, I have been looking everywhere for a windshield frame. I have looked at a dozen trucks and they are all the same. No windshield frame!

Just today I found a 35 Chevy and a 38 Ford. I know neither will fit, but sure enough! No frames! Where did they all go? Why would someone pull a windshield frame and leave a complete truck behind???

I think it has somthing to do with UFOs.

Buddy of mine has the same problem with his 36 coupe. A set came up on ebay, but someone with a pretty big stack of paper came along and paid top dollar for the damn things. I know that the Hershey swapmeet is coming up in a couple weeks and there is always Hemmings...
