    That's exactly what has happened. In California you drive with a suspended or revoked license, fail to show up at past court hearings, and get caught by the CHP it is 100% sure the car goes for a 30 day impound. I hear this everyday on the CHP scanner radio in Orange County, CA.

    OK...I've been really busy but I got a chance to make a few calls for an update. The car is gone. The owner passed away...his kids picked the car up (they jump started it and drove it out of the impound yard!). After a few weeks they sold it to a local "collector". I don't know how much or even who the collector is.

    Another real solid one got away but I'm still keeping my eyes open. It's amazing how much comment some threads generate. One of these days we will have a "success story".

    If towing companies there are anything like they are in the Houston area,THEY stole the car. Lots of shady tows happen around here,and costly. TP
