I have searched and found some things on wheel sizes from 16" and 15" for the wheels and 235/75/15 to 6.5x16 for rubber size.

I get it that the bolt pattern is 5x5.5

The question I have is on a bone stock 1949 f1 ford pickup what is the width I can get away with on the rims without tearing up the fenders with the rubber hitting?

Also what is the best offset for the rims. dead center?

I have seen everyone talk about it but don't really understand what is meant by 1" or 4 1/2" offset. Is that from the front or back.

Point me to the correct posting from the past or post here please.
