I have a 1932 Ford Tudor with 85 Vette rear end. I want to change out the wheels to Torq Thrusts. American Racing application guide does not include the Torq Thrust D's for this app. Anyone know why? Anyone running this wheel on a mid 80's vette rear suspension?

Yup because they have lots of offset almost like a Front Wheel Drive, I am sure with some measuring you will come with a wheel from them that will work!

    Product Number: VN1056861
    Size: 16" x 8"
Product Description: AMERICAN RACING HOT ROD TORQ THRUST D TORQ THRUST GRAY W/ MACH LIP 5x120.7
    Backside Spacing (in): 4.03
    Offset: -12mm
    Load Rating: 1580
    Weight: 25.74
    Cap Part Number: 1055001

This is the app for a early Vette

  3. As John said, the extreme offset of the stock type wheel when used in the Vette does not lend itself to the Torque Thrust. If you have set up the rear end width to use conventional offsets then a Torque Thrust in 5 on 4 3/4" pattern will work fine.

Thanks Hambers. American says that the 15x7 or 15x8 in normal offset will work just fine. We will see next week!
