Now that the 49 Chrysler is home, I am trying to line up the color! I am looking into the Hot Rod Flatz blood red. Does anyone have experience with this? How is the finish? A pain to spray? Its going on a 49 Chrysler windsor with bamboo interior.

Any other suggestions on a durable suede in a deep red?

    It sucks.
    To thin and not opaque.
    I use the Carnival red.
I liked the color but that was it.

    Go to Ace Hardware.
    They sell an implement paint.
You can get it in Matte, Satin or Gloss.
They can mix it any color you want and
you thin it with acetone. It's $35 a gallon.

The only problem is it takes a few hours (4-8)
to dry, and a few weeks to fully cure, aside from
that it is a far superior and cheaper paint. Good luck.

p.s. Everyone i have met who has used HRF has had similar
bad results, I've seen a few cars that were really trashed by the junk.

Hey, thanks for the tip. I was actually looking at the carnival red. My husband is using some crazy marine paint on his 51 shoebox, so we will see how it turns out. apparently they will mix any color you want, its cheap, durable, and amazing! will update with more info on the paint.
