To please a Lady
a ton of good old race footage
I remember a similar plot movie but it was not a moonshine movie and the cops didn't have the mirrors...It was a logging company whose trucks were getting wrecked driving down the mountain at night..Once they got going they couldn't stop on the grade; bad guys would put the mirrors out which were activated by the horns in the logging trucks as the drivers laid on them to warn cars they were coming down...Andy Divine was a co star, drove post WW 2 Ford I think, 46/48...Movie was probably made in the late 40's or early 50's..I think I only saw it once also maybe around 58/60...
I been telling a friend of mine about that movie for years; great scenes like when Clark Gable was rebuilding the engine..He finally found it and was very impressed..Never could get a liking to Barbra Stanwyck..
"The Italian Job" with Michael Caine...
