Discover a way to clone 6 of me, correction ,a dozen, then maybe we can get caught up.However, ole' Pop said it best, "You'll never get caught up, but here is what you do. Close the garage door, hang a sign on it, GONE FISHIN', then go fishin' and when you get back you will still have all the work there that you will never get caught up on, but at least you got to go fishin'." He is gone now but those words still make me smile and I think he was on to something.
Have the pickup on the road and at Spring Ocean City. Also have enough cash left over that I can actually enjoy the weekend! It'll probably be just in primer but it will be rollin'.
to have a running driveable '32 chassis by end of 2011, acquiring a body would be nice too, but just a chassis for now is the goal
Been locating parts for this build for over a couple of years now, so in 2011 I would finally like to get all this... + ... into this... Sorry, just one year above 'ontopic'
i hope to sell my business and check out to our N Georgia home....the 39 is almost complete, been a year building....lots of fabrication, tweekin, & fun....now i'm working on a flip front with stationary front fenders, like a peterbuilt....but as far as the rat race, i'm done
My on-topic HAMB goal is to get an old car again (running and driving 55-56 Ford is on the top of the mental list today - but we all know how quickly that list changes). However, if I make all of my other higher priority goals (finish house remodel, achieve more yet travel less at work, get myself back into shape, and most importantly somehow spend more quality time with my family), I will be very happy!
HAMB related.... i'd like to get my 50' together enough to drive again NON HAMB related.. just to have a healthy year for my family and make it through the year...
New brakes and a radio of some kind,on the Pick-up... New rear wheels and tires, and dist. on the Merc. Drive the Pick-up to Bonneville!!!!!
Get my Econo Pickup together and drive the 200 miles to the Billetproof Florida show (The only real big event besides the Turkey Run), then graduate high school in May, and get ready for the Citadel in August
I want to have my Bantam done by summer. I hoped to pull it to new garage this week, but I sit here snowed in until probably Wed.
Same goal as I have had for the past four years, get my 51 on the road. 2011 just might be my lucky year!
making it to milltown, the rumblers show in nyc, & the orange airport reunion without blowin the chevy up.
Finish my dart its only been 22 yrs since i drove it last took it apart to paint it !! and to have momas rambler on the road so we can drive it to bonneville in august.
Get some kind of outbuilding done before winter sets in so I don't have to be stuck in the house like I am this winter.
Well, Take out the 53's engine and trans, set aside. Tear down, clean up, hop up, repaint & rebuild the 57' Cadillac 365. Do the same minus hop up to the 700R4. Slam both it and the 365 in the 53. New exhuast, still thinking what mufflers to run. Replace the kingpins, go through the front end, (3"-4") blocks rear. Make up a bracket to hold a GM dual-pot M/C in the factory place. new brake lines. Wire the turn signals up & fix the housings. Straighten, strip & rechrome the back bumper. And finally, Repaint the whole damn car. All this hopefully befor I miss the whole damn season. Boogity boogity boogity!
To win the lottery. I will hold off on setting any other specific 2011 goals for now, since they would change anyway, after I win. Wish me luck.
