Whats this off of?

  1. as the title states guys i need some info on a part.... I found this light on e8@y and i didnt buy it in time. Does anyone know what its off of or who the manufacturer was of it? Any help is appreciated!!!!

    I wonder if it's off a trailer?

    Looks to me like an accessory license plate topper with a built in 3rd brake light or possibly off a trailer of tractor. Probably Sears, or J.C. Whitney if I had to guess.

    If that plate has been attached to it all these years it is a high quality made piece. Cheap stuff was made of steel, that must be brass. Did it brake $100.00 ? Bob

    Looks like off a commercial tractor or trailer. Early 50's I am guessing. peace

    That taillight almost looks like a Lambretta piece. If it is glass then I'd say Lambretta but plastic probably accessory.

    @the37kid : no the light didn't break $100, it only got to around $30. I feel like an idiot for not bidding more haha

    Just track down the original owner from the license plate and ask him! :)

    My guess is OLD, maybe 1920, aftermarket.
