whats this car hardtop off of corvette?
Looks like an aftermarket for something. it doesn't look OEM to me.
That little tail scoop resembles corvette though.
prolly off one of them foriegn cars
My guess is some fiberglass kit car. Back window looks a little cruder than a car manufacturer would do.
It is a aftermarket for 56-60 corvette,,,Someone was making them quite a few years back,,,Not really worth anything these days If you look at the location of those mounting tabs they coincide with corvette. Also the profile on the side where the 1/4 windows would normally go
Wasn't this posted a week or two ago, or am I loosin' it? I agree looks aftermarket. IIRC someone posted an early ad of it.
There was a company by the name of Parrish that made all kinds of removable hard tops for British sports cars,I believe they also made them for corvettes also, this could be one of them. HRP
A quick google search makes me think its an aftermarket top for a C1 corvette, or maybe a corvette kit car?
Not a lot of original steel tops for 'Vettes...
you posted this oct 16 and got answers, WTF?
Never was a steel top.....
The steel tops are very rare, they only came on the Steel Corvettes.
I always get feedback on the Steel 'Vette Gag.
But what were the factory ones made of???
I bought a Parrish (sic) Plastics top for my 66 Vette long ago. it was almost identical to stock, almost. they were in Bethel Park Pa.
I had a '59 Corvette and that top looks nothing like the stock top on mine.
Reminds me of old Fiat roadster(60"s) or possibly Datsun, Triumph, MG, several import possibilities.
Oh yeah, I think I bought some fiberglass front fenders from them for an MGB I was building, when I lived in Pittsburgh. I remember driving to their factory and picking them up. They were actually pretty nice pieces.
Company called Scott also made them. Worth probably nothing.
