I'll tell you the rarest thing I ever had ... and sold way to cheap !!!

I had a magnesium Mickey Thompson cross ram for a 409 Chevy. Last on I had seen was going for $3500, I sold mine just before I went into the Air Force in 1983 for $200 and was happy I made $50 !!!

Wow... I've seen a few high 32 grill shell prices of late. You've got some good karma coming your way.

Depends,( not the diapers), if you are into British or foreign cars in general, the prices will make a grown man cry. The dual quad manifolds off the early 300 Chryslers were hard to find, but now they make a sweet Edelbrock aluminum mani. Weber carbs are like gold, and the ancient SU carbs are killers too. Most any old Hemi stuff is gold. Hey, I think I'm rich! That mechanical clock with the pull-string winder in the old Fords is a treasure, and I gave one to a friend for his car. He was practically in tears on that one. Hey, it's all just junk!

When I was a younger dumb ass, I bought a 66? 426 Hemi from a guy with a set of 13+++ to 1's in it, t had a ginormous cam in it, roller lifters gorgeous rods and the heads were sisters # 0000045 ish #0000046 ish, it had a tunnel ram, more of a mid ram, distributor and a box of parts... gold..I knew I f'ed up real bad when the thing was in the paper for 1 minute and 2 guys came for it.. these two guys beat the crap out of each other on the front lawn of my moms house..I kid you not... the guy who won bought the Hemi, the other guy was pissed so I showed him the box of parts, the stock intake original carb, all the original parts brackets every thing... guy lit up like a christmas tree. I let that first bit go for 6 grand in 84, i let the guy have the box of parts for a g note. The guy told me that I really f'd up the block and heads were worth about 20 g and the box of parts he just got me for about 5g. I did ok on the deal I got it for 2, this deal was the rarest of all the deals in my entire life, not a day goes by that I wish I would have kept that Hemi, if for no other reason just to prove I had it, oh but I have a picture... sure... bullshitter, thats yours. Now I go on here, Wouldn't I like to have it now.

I bought and sold Halibrand stuff all through the nineties, and specialized in making up complete sets of wheels from singles here and there. I've had some now rare stuff before, But I'm finding the more esoteric stuff to be a problem these days. Any one seen a Paxton blower, brackets, and an Edelbrock three carb kit for a Falcon six lately?

Smith heads for Ford-Mercury flathead. Gorgeous castings from excellent patterns, they increased water capacity in the heads by about 40 percent, and they had water outet manifolds on top, like some V8-60 race heads in the past and Tony Barrons' full-size Ford-Mercury heads today.

Seriously, one of the rarest parts for customizers to find is the '53-'55 Kaiser Bumper Guard/License Surround. Some of the early models used them on front & back...later models just on the back.

Usually, if you find one, you'll narrow it to frame your license better. BUT, since they made VERY FEW of these cars anyway you're gonna pay big bucks to get one. At one time someone was reproducing these and asking around $700.00 a piece.

They are cool ! AND, many times if one is used, they'll run the exhaust tips through the ends of the bumper-bombs.
