So I have a 1956 Cadillac Jetaway Trans I got with the 365 engine. Keeping the motor. Its been rebuilt and has somewhat low miles. 10,000 or less. Case could be freshened up a bit. Shifted fine through all gears when pulled from the coupe deville it was in. I am thinking about getting rid of this trans to fund other habits. What is it worth? Does anybody near me want it? Also, if I am planning on Running a Wilcap adapter what should I keep? Flywheel, flexplate???

Yep, not worth much...big, bulky, heavy, pricey to rebuild...

Hey Jeff, I just assumed it was the Jetaway. I must admit I don't know much yet about this. I am 24 and just starting my first project. Whats the tell -tale sign of a Jetaway or a Dual Range? I will get back to you. And why is the Dual Range desirable?

    Thanks

The Jetaway will only have a pan on the bottom of the trans. The dual range has a pan on the side and the bottom.

I had no takers on a trans in similar condition at $150. I don't know why people don't like them, they're a good strong trans. The one in my pickup shifts really well.
