Single 4 barrell with the small bolt pattern? Do you want to stay 'original' or can you use adaptor and go with newer type like and edelbrock 500 w/electric choke (thats what i'd do). If not updated then the best carb for that motor is the one that caddy put on it.
Not sure exactly what you have, probably a 4GC Rochester. I would either rebuild it or have it rebuilt. They're good carbs and not that hard to work on. Bob
The 1959 and 1960 Cadillac could have come with either a Rochester 4-GC or Carter AFB. Additionally, there was one of each depending on if the vehicle came with or without air conditioning. The 1959 and 1960 Rochester carburetors are the same (subject to the with/without A/C). The 1960 Carter was tweaked slightly from the 1959 calibration. The 1960 carbs were listed as service replacement for the 1959 carbs. Either the Rochester or the Carter is going to be superior to any replacement carb AND EVERYTHING WILL FIT! Jon.
I recently put an Edelbrock #1406 on my 59 Cad 390. I was replacing a Carter AFB. Fit and works fine. Curly
