Wondering what a 330 is worth, local person has one for sale. Went and checked it out and its complete minus carb and front accessories. Its been sitting in his building for probably 5 or so years, but looks to be in good shape. Hes asking 500 for it, that seems like a very low price but thought id ask you guys for input since i know nothing about mopar stuff Sent from my LGLS775 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Claims it came from a 56 desoto if that helps any. Sent from my LGLS775 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
DeSoto hemis have all the desirable design features of their Chrysler and Dodge stablemates, but for one. Speed parts are much more scarce for them than the others. If this engine has a 4 bbl carb/manifold, and I suspect it does, it would make a great mild street engine. If it is a 'good' core (not seized or cracked block/heads) that seems a very reasonable price. Ray
Awesome thanks for the info guys. It is a 4bbl engine so i may pick it up amd use it in a build down the road Sent from my LGLS775 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
$500!?! Buy it. But as Hnstray said, there are fewer sources for speed parts. Factory made a 2x4 setup, but the intakes are expensive. Edelbrock made an aluminum single four, but it's RARE, expensive, and a virtual copy of the factory intake. Hot Hemi Heads sells a lot of parts, including intakes, aluminum front cover for Chevy water pump, aluminum valve covers, etc. Trans adapters are available, as well as headers and cams. Mallory made a flat top distributor. Check the Hemi Tech thread on here. I have a fresh, built, dressed out 330 for my 40, if I can live long enough to get on it.
Good advice on here. I would buy at $500.00. I would also research availability of the front accessories, they may be made from unobtainium
