Great to see that car again. I remember it idling around the St Paul Fairgrounds. Do you know who had the car in Minnesota?

Depending on what year it was, it could have been Moreland/Vogele in the mid to late 80's, then Dave Geiger in the 90's, since both of them took the car to that run separately (I believe). The gentleman I bought the car from had it there in the mid 2000's at some point. He owns Don Bessette Motors in Minot North Dakota. He owed the car from 2005 until March of this year. The car went through a couple other hands during the 90's, including the United States Federal Government. It was seized with a bunch of other cars, but that's a story for another time. All I care about is that it's been found and in as good of condition as I could have hoped!

    Any updates? New pictures?

I was bidding on a '46 Jesse James had on Ebay last week and lost. My goal is to find a good donor car to start with and build a clone to Jack's "Porky 6". The look is still on!

    Kelly,

That's a bummer you lost the bid! Unfortunately, no new news on Project 40. When we got the car it had a dual quad setup on top of the blower with a wannabe injector hat/air cleaner. The hole in the hood is oversized due to that setup. We ripped that off and replaced it with an Enderle injector and bug catcher hat, as it was originally. We are in the process of modifying the hood to fit the Enderle correctly, which is taking a bit longer than we anticipated. I'll send some update pics soon!

Moreland gave me a bunch of pictures and videos he found recently, which I will share once I get them digitized. Here are a couple that are appropriate for this thread! This was from a magazine shoot that featured Project 40 and Fat Jacks 46' on the cover.

Here's Moreland with Project 40 at our shop on Saturday. He hadn't seen the car in almost 30 years... The stories he told of those days would make a great book or movie.

That's a cool picture. I see Fat Jack has a pickup featured in the latest Hot Rod Mag, he's still at it.
The 40 looks like it's holding up very very well......You need to make a few passes with that thing!
