Couldn’t get a pic but saw an 49 Mercury 2 door sitting on the side of the road in a so so neighborhood. Solid and looked like an old custom build that has been neglected for many years. Would be a great builder.

Dodge truck

Hello,

It is not a coincidence, but over a year ago, (start of the pandemic) we saw this red Dodge pickup on a side street on a coastal So Cal road trip. It was similar to one we saw a few years back. A happy couple were cruising down the street and then we turned on our own direction and lost sight of the red truck.

But, haven’t seen it for quite some time. Recently, my wife and I were driving down a street, we saw the red pickup truck pull into a McD’s and followed him to take a quick photo to see if it was the same truck we saw years ago.

With the pandemic, one never knows. After scrutinizing the two photos, one old, one new, it is the same Dodge truck we saw many years back. It is still around So Cal coastal areas and has not moved to another location. Still a nice truck, it looks as if it is the same owner, and continues to be a reliable daily driver.

So, it has been a daily driver in So Cal, but just not in our area of road trips…

I saw a hot rod. Up in the mountains. Pretty neat.

 

Man! I’m always seeing stuff, I just lose the pics in my phone and forget to post ‘em.

Here’s a dump from the last year or so.



The little Chevy pick up lives in the next neighborhood over, the green one on the trailer was getting off the freeway near my house, the El Caminos were in a neighborhood we were cow-parading (Portuguese thing, don’t ask) through along with the other cars.

Now I don’t feel so guilty.

heh...no, that's ATF, a transmission cooler line sprung a leak. They went to find some, which might have been difficult up in the mountains.
